ラヴィントラかもめでランチ Lunch at Ravintola Kamome

 

ヘルシンキを舞台にした映画『かもめ食堂』が2006年に日本でヒットして、ヘルシンキが日本で注目されるキッカケになった。

映画の撮影で使われた場所は、現在は映画にちなんで、”ラヴィントラかもめ”というレストランになっている。

ランチを食べに、このラヴィラントを訪れてみた。場所はヘルシンキの中心地から少し外れた南西の方角にあった。

メインのハンバーグは普通に美味しかった。

『かもめ食堂』は、少し前に見たことがあった。

とりわけ、何か大きな事件が起こるわけではなく、登場人物たちの心のつながりが、ヘルシンキののんびりとした雰囲気の中で展開されていく。

映画よりも、出演者の片桐はいりがこの映画のロケでフィンランドを訪れた経験を書いた本、『わたしのマトカ』がとても面白かった。

片桐はいりは、フィンランドの人々の素朴さを表すのに、エサのかわりに小石を投げても疑わずについばもうとするスズメの様子に例えている。

ちなみに、マトカとは、フィンランド後で旅のことだそうだ。
